The Bronze Ring

We finished "The Bronze Ring" retelling by Andrew Lang today. Afterwards, while Aminah took a nap Alejandro was to illustrate his favorite scene from the story and complete his Math work.

In the story, a gardener's son is trying to receive the Princess hand in marriage, he goes on a quest, finds a bronze ring that will grant him anything he wishes, and coming back to the King with his riches, marries her. After that, a magician learns of his powers and steals his ring. He sleeps with the ring in his mouth. This is the scene where a couple of lame mice try to steal the ring back for the gardener's son.

Alejandro said this was his favorite part in the story, "Because I liked the mouses ship and the way that I thought it would look like".  His favorite part was drawing the bells on his slippers, drawing a see-through window, his beard, and making him look like he was sleeping.
