This is what a typical school moment looks like.
Coming up with activities for Aminah to play with while Ali and I work together is our biggest struggle at the moment. Here she is content with building blocks and knocking them over.
This week we continued our reading of "Our Island Story", by H.E Marshall.
"A child's history of England from earliest legendary times delightfully retold. Beginning with the stories of Albion and Brutus, it relates all the interesting legends and hero tales in which the history of England abounds through the end of the reign of Queen Victoria. "
In this weeks chapter entitled, "The Coming of the Romans", we read about Julius Caesar's landing on the shores of "the little Island", in which the Britons tried to defend it with their "terrible war chariots". Alejandro's attempt at the chariot is featured below. He told me he was limited with his design due to insufficient pieces. :)
